    Terms of Service

Please read these terms carefully before using our platform. They outline your rights, responsibilities, and the rules that govern your use of Instant Doc Online.

    Last updated: 11 September 2026

    1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Instant Doc Online platform (the Service), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service. These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Instant Doc Online Ltd, registered in Ireland.

    2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and a resident of Ireland to use the Service independently. Consultations for minors (under 18) must be arranged by a parent or legal guardian who will be present during the session. You must provide accurate and truthful information when using the platform.

    3. Nature of the Service

The Service connects patients with Irish Medical Council-registered doctors for non-emergency remote consultations via video, audio, or text. We are a technology platform — we do not directly provide medical advice. Each doctor operates as an independent practitioner.

This Service is NOT a substitute for emergency medical care. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 999 or 112 immediately.

    4. Booking & Payment

Consultation fees are displayed before booking and are charged at the time of reservation. All payments are held in escrow until the consultation is completed to your satisfaction. If the doctor fails to attend or you are unsatisfied, you may request a full refund through our concierge team. We accept major debit/credit cards via Stripe. VAT is included where applicable.

    5. Cancellation & Refunds

    • More than 2 hours before: Full refund, no questions asked.
    • Less than 2 hours before: 50% refund or free reschedule.
    • No-show by patient: No refund (doctor is paid for their reserved time).
    • No-show by doctor: Full refund plus a €10 credit toward your next consultation.
    • Disputes: Handled by our 24/7 concierge team. 95% resolved within 24 hours.

    6. Prescriptions

Doctors on our platform may issue private prescriptions at their clinical discretion. Prescriptions are sent electronically to your chosen pharmacy or delivered via our partner courier service. HSE/GMS prescriptions are not available through this platform. We are not responsible for pharmacy stock availability or delivery delays by third-party couriers.

    7. User Conduct

You agree not to: use the Service for fraudulent purposes; harass, abuse, or threaten any doctor or staff member; record consultations without the doctor's explicit consent; attempt to obtain controlled substances through deception. Violation of these terms will result in immediate account suspension and may be reported to relevant authorities.

    8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Instant Doc Online Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the specific consultation giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

    9. Intellectual Property

All content, trademarks, logos, and software on the platform are owned by Instant Doc Online Ltd and protected by Irish intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.

    10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ireland. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ireland. If any provision is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force.
